Sarah was born about 1776.  Sarah's father was Matthew Boswell and her mother was Ann??.  Her paternal grandparents were John Boswell and Sarah Harris. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Stacey, John, William, Verlinda, Eleanor, Matthew, Mary and Nancy.  She was the eighth oldest of the nine children.
