John Blount

John was born on October 17th, 1669 in Albemarle Co NC. John's father was Capt James Blount and his mother was <Unknown>. His paternal grandparents were Sir Walter Blount Knt and Elizabeth Wilde (Wylde); his maternal grandparents were <Unknown> and <Unknown>. James Blount and CLARE — presumed descendant of Gilbert de CLARE, Earl of Gloucester Clare was his grandfatheris his grandmother through his father's adoption. He had three brothers named Thomas, James and others. He died at the age of 55 on March 17th, 1725 in Chowan Precinct, Albemarle Co. North Carolina.
