Capt James Blount

James was born about 1620 in Worcester England. James' father was Sir Walter Blount Knt and his mother was Elizabeth Wilde (Wylde). His paternal grandfather was Sir George Blount Knt and his paternal grandmother is Eleanor Norwood; his maternal grandparents are George Wilde and Frances Huddleston. He had two brothers and a sister, named Thomas, Thomas and Elizabeth. He was adopted by James Blount & CLARE — presumed descendant of Gilbert de CLARE, Earl of Gloucester Clare. He died in 1686 in Chowan Co. North Carolina.
