Ann was born about 1790.  Ann's father was Isham Alford and her mother was Anne Ferrell.  Her paternal grandparents were Lodwick Alford and Rebecca Jackson Rebecker Ferrell; her maternal grandparents were John Bone Bowen Ferrell and Ann Fish. She had three brothers named Brittain Washington, Archebald and Bynum.  She was the youngest of the four children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Elizabeth and Jesse.  She died in 1880.
