James 3rd Earl Ormond was born in 1362 in Gowran, Kilkenny, , Ireland. James 3rd Earl Ormond's father was James 2nd Earl Ormond Butler and his mother was LADY ELIZABETH Baroness of Hertforth Darcy. His maternal grandparents were SIR JOHN LeNeveu of Knatyth DeDarcy and JOAN DeBurgh. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Ralph, Thomas, Felice, Eleanor, Joan and Catherine. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named James 3rd Earl Ormond, JOHANNA and Eleanor. He died at the age of 43 on September 7th, 1405 in Knoctopher Castle, Knoctopher, Leinster, Ireland.-
