William de Meschines (de Saint Pierre) 
William was born in 1100 in Gernon Castle, Normandy, France.1 William's father was Earl of Chester Ranulph (de Briquessart) de Meschines III and his mother was Countess of Chester Lucia Taillebois. His paternal grandparents were Count de Bayeux Ranulf le Meschines II and Maud d'Avranches; his maternal grandparents were 1st Baron of Kendal Ivo FitzRichard de Rounmare Taillebois and Lucy Beatrice of Mercia. He had a brother and a sister, named Ranulf and Adeliza. He was the youngest of the three children. He died at the age of 82 in 1182 in Egremont, Cumberland, England.2 -
