Count of Savoy Amadeus de Maurienne III (Amadeo of Savoy) 
Amadeus was born in 1092 in Savoie, France.1 Amadeus' father was Marquis of Turin, Count of Savoy Humbert de Maurienne II and his mother was Gisela of Burgundy de Macon. His paternal grandparents were Amadeus de Maurienne II and Jeanne of Geneva; his maternal grandparents were Count of Burgundy William (The Great) de Macon I and Stephenie Etienette de Longwy. He had a brother and four sisters, named Hard Head, Ermentrude, Sibylle, Alix and Agnes. He was the second youngest of the six children. He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named Guillaume, Jeanne, Matilda and Jeanne. He died at the age of 56 on April 1st, 1148.1 Death Notes
