Amicia de Braiose

Amicia was born in 1076 in Bramber Castle, Sussex, England.¹ Amicia's father was Sir William de Braose I and her mother was Agnes St. Clair. Her paternal grandparents were Robert le Brus I and Emma de Brittany; her maternal grandparents were Walderne de St. Clair and Helen (Le Bon) de Normandy. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Adam, John, Crusader, Hortense, Matilda and Philena. She was the second youngest of the seven children. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named William, Robert and Agatha.
