John de Botetourte

John was born in 1265.¹ John's father was Edward (Longshanks) Plantagenet of England I and his mother was Margaret of France. His paternal grandparents were Henry Plantagenet of England III and Lady Eleanore Berenger of Provence; his maternal grandparents were King Phillip (The Bold) Capet of France III and Maria of Brabrant. He had three brothers and a sister, named Thomas, Edmund, Edmund and Eleanor. He had four half-brothers and twelve half-sisters, named John, Henry, Alphonso, Edward, Katherine, Eleanor, Joan, Joan (of Acre), Margaret, Berengeria, Mary, Elizabeth, Isabel, Alice, Beatrice and Lucy.
