Eleanor was born on October 17th, 1304 in Hereford, Herefordshire, England.1 Eleanor's father was 4th Earl of Hertford & Essex Humphrey de Bohun VIII and her mother was Princess Elizabeth Plantagenet. Her paternal grandparents were 8th Earl of Hereford & Essex Humphrey de Bohun VII and Maud de Fiennes; her maternal grandparents were Edward (Longshanks) Plantagenet of England I and Princess Eleanor of Castile. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Humphrey, John, William, Edward, Agnes, Margaret, Aeneas and <Unknown>. She died at the age of 58 on October 7th, 1363.2 -
