Maredydd ap Ednowain

Maredydd was born in 1030 in Llys Y Coed, Cilcain, Flintshire, Wales.¹   Maredydd's father was Ednowain (Feiniad) ap Cynan and his mother was Gwerfyl verch Llydocca. He had six brothers and a sister, named Madog, Goronwy, Blettrws, Rotpert, Gwyn, Gruffydd and Ceinfryd.  He was the fourth youngest of the eight children.
