Newton Jesse was born on March 14th, 1913 in Person Co, NC. Newton Jesse's father was Howard Arthur Yarbrough and his mother was Sallie May Gentry. His paternal grandparents were James Ruffin Yarbrough and Frances 'Fannie' Gentry; his maternal grandparents were John Thomas Gentry and Nancy C. Rhew. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Arthur Howard, Gertis Richard, Mary Rena and Rellia. He died at the age of 64 on July 7th, 1977 in Roxboro, Person Co, NC.General Notes
