Herbert Bryant Tilley 
Herbert Bryant was born on February 11th, 1900 in Smoky Creek Twp, Burke Co, NC and his baptism took place in Census 1910. Herbert Bryant's father was Alonzo Dural Tilley and his mother was Mary Lou Ellen Crouch. His paternal grandparents were James Sidney Tilley and Levana Gustine Leigh. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Claude Donald, Raymond H., James S., Richard Connelly, Jennie Augusta and Fannie Ruth. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 88 on December 12th, 1988 in Oxford, Granville Co, NC. He was buried in Royster Cemetery, Granville Co, NC.General Notes
