Omer Tilden PAYTON 
Omer Tilden was born on July 29th, 1876 in Judson, Parke Co., Indiana.1 Omer Tilden's father was Thomas PAYTON and his mother was Martha Ann STOUT. His paternal grandparents were Anthony PAYTON and Margaret WALLINGFORD. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named James Anthony, William Harvey, George Washington, John A., Ora Whaley, James T., LaFollette, Mary Frances, Sarah Jane, Nancy Alice and Rhoda Ellen. He died at the age of 62 on February 27th, 1939 in Marshall, Parke Co., Indiana. He was buried in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Parke Co., Indiana.2 2 General Notes
