James (Timberhead) McCubbin 
James, known as Timberhead, was born on November 17th, 1803 in Rockingham County, North Carolina.1 Timberhead's father was Nicholas (Blind Nick) McCubbin and his mother was Elizabeth Bloyd. His paternal grandparents were John Israel McCubbin and Sapho Lunnon; his maternal grandparents were John (The Old Patriarch) Bloyd Sr. and Mary Riggins. He had three brothers and four sisters, named John, Nicholas, William, Martha, Eleanor, Elizabeth and Lydia. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 85 on January 9th, 1889 in Green County, Kentucky.-
