Sir William Lindsay 
Sir William was born about 1321 in Castle Crawford, Lanarkshire, Scotland. Sir William's father was Lord of Crawford Sir David De Lindsay and his mother was Mary de Abernethy. His maternal grandfather was Sir Alexander de Abernethy. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Sir Alexander, Philip, Sir James, Beatrix and Margaret. He was the second youngest of the six children. He died on January 7th, 1393 in Byres, Haddington, East Lothian, Scotland.-
