Joan Hawte 
Joan was born about 1436 in Waltham, Kent, England. Joan's father was Sheriff of Kent William Hawte and her mother was Joan Woodville. Her maternal grandparents were Richard Wydeville and Joan Bedlisgate. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Sheriff of Kent Sir William, Richard, Edward, James, Alice, Anne, Elizabeth and Margaret. She was the fourth oldest of the nine children.-
