James Hawte 
James was born about 1445 in Waltham, Kent, England. James' father was Sheriff of Kent William Hawte and his mother was Joan Woodville. His maternal grandparents were Richard Wydeville and Joan Bedlisgate. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Sheriff of Kent Sir William, Richard, Edward, Alice, Anne, Joan, Elizabeth and Margaret. He was the youngest of the nine children.-
