Alvin Foster 
Alvin was born about 1915 in North Carolina.1 Alvin's father was Joseph Henry Foster and his mother was Sallie Odell Miller. His paternal grandparents were Weldon " William" Goode Foster and Zilphia "Silpha" Jarvis. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Joseph William, Joseph W, Arland M, Cleland Miller, Cleland Miller, Alvin W, Martha Evelyn, Evelina, Mary Walton, Mary W. and Nina May. He was the fourth youngest of the twelve children. He had two half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Herman, John Kerr, Nola Shell, Ila Ida, Charlotte B., Nannie A, Maggie L and Clara. He died on September 12th, 1924.-
