Abner M was born on January 25th, 1828 in Shenandoah Co, Virginia.1 Abner M's father was MEREDITH Foster and his mother was Margaret Boyer. His paternal grandparents were John Foster and Agnes Ward. He had five brothers and three sisters, named William B., Henry H, John E, Robert, Charles N, Mary Jane, Catherine Ann and Margaret Rachel. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He died in Auburn, Illinois.-
