Bruce Ray was born on March 17th, 1908 in Indianapolis, Marion Co., IN. Bruce Ray's father was Virgil Anderson "Virg" DOAN and his mother was Jennie May HICKS. His maternal grandparents were Allison Monroe "Allen" HICKS and Mary Ann "May" OLIVER. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Herman Quincy (Sr) , Leroy Virgil, Orvel Eugene, Mary Lucille and Helen Ruby . He was the second oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 81 on December 10th, 1989 in Ellettville, Monroe Co,, IN.General Notes
