• General Notes

  Allison moved to Indiana after the Civil War, around 1868/70.  He met and married Mary Ann Oliver of Paragon, Morgan Co, IN, they settled in Washington Twsp, Morgan Co. IN.

  In 1882 the family moved to Belmont St. in Indianapolis, IN where Allison had a small farm.
  
  After Mary Ann died Allison lost the land around 1914. He and his daughter Ada Marie had a hard time surviving. At one time they lived in an abandoned box car. I found him listed as living with Leroy, his son in 1920. 
  
  Allison lived with his son LeRoy Hicks until he died.
