John Perry Colyer 
John Perry was born on January 1st, 1857 in Cherry Grove Community, Pulaski County, Kentucky.1 John Perry's father was Lindsey Robert Colyer and his mother was Nancy Jane Richardson. His paternal grandparents were John Wesley Colyer and Lydia Memes Purvis. He had three brothers and nine sisters, named Cyrenius, Robert Lindsey, Samuel A., Lydia Margaret (Liddie), Elizabeth, Paulina Jane (Lina), Lucinda Sophia, Mary Belle, Nancy Ellen, Virginia (Jenne), Lucinda Debora (Lucy) and Alice. He was the sixth oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 79 on July 30th, 1936 in Pulaski County, Kentucky.General Notes
