Guarfield (Garfield) Colyer 
Guarfield (Garfield) was born in 1879 in Pulaski County, Kentucky.1 Guarfield (Garfield)'s father was Charles Grenade Colyer and his mother was Louisa Jane Meece. His paternal grandparents were John Wesley Colyer and Lydia Memes Purvis. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Cyrenus W., Charles G. Jr., Nathaniel, Samuel, Sarah Elizabeth, Liddie (Lydia), Harriet and Nevada Ellen. He was the second youngest of the nine children. He died in 1879.General Notes
