John Leonard Collier 
John Leonard was born on April 28th, 1837 in Owen County,IN. John Leonard's father was Morgan Colyer Collier and his mother was Elizabeth (Betsy) Purvis. His maternal grandparents were James Purvis and Rhoda Roberts. He had four brothers named Richard, James, Christopher Columbus and William. He was the youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 82 on February 26th, 1920 in Snyder,IL Clark County. He was buried in Served as a Private in Civil War.General Notes
Built a new home just South of Snyder in 1896.
