Christopher Columbus was born in 1830. Christopher Columbus' father was Morgan Colyer Collier and his mother was Elizabeth (Betsy) Purvis. His maternal grandparents were James Purvis and Rhoda Roberts. He had four brothers named Richard, James, William and John Leonard. He was the third oldest of the five children.General Notes
