William Cary 
William was born in 1700 in Skiffs Creek, Warwick, Virginia. William's father was Lt. Col. William Cary and his mother was Martha Scarisbrook. His maternal grandparents were Lt. Col. John Scarisbrook and Mary Martiau. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Harwood, Major Miles, John, Martha and Elizabeth. He was the third youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 42 on April 3rd, 1742 in Prince William County, Virginia.-
