Mary Carter

Mary was born in 1545 in Kempston, Bedfordshire, England.¹ Mary's father was William Carter Sr. and her mother was Elizabeth Glover Cranfield. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Carter and Emily Anstell; her maternal grandparents were William Glover Cranfield and Katherine Cranfield. She had two brothers and three sisters, named William, Peter, Paradise, Winifred and Milicent. She was the third oldest of the six children.
