Francis Maron Beatty

Francis was born on September 20th, 1829 in Big Clifty, Grayson Co., Kentucky.¹ Francis' father was William Beatty and his mother was Lydia A, Shaw. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Beatty and Mary McConnell. He had four brothers and a sister, named Uriah, Joseph, Henry, Adam and Jane. He was the third youngest of the six children. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named John, Beatty, Sarah, Cassa and Elizabeth. He died at the age of 77 in 1906 in Breckenridge Co., Kentucky. He was buried in Rosetta United Methodist Church Cemetery, Breckinridge Co., Kentucky (cross the road from the Rosetta Church at Rosetta. on the banks of Sinking Creek. (Breckinridge Co. Cemeteries Vol. I)).¹
