Freegift was born on June 12th, 1680 in Providence, Providence, Rhode Island.1 Freegift's father was Alexander Bolkcom and her mother was Jane Holbrook. Her maternal grandparents were William Holbrook and Elizabeth Pitts. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Alexander, John, Joseph, Samuel, Katherine, Sarah, Lydia, Hannah and Deborah.
