William Woodford was born in 1823. William Woodford's father was John Dabney BROWNING Jr. and his mother was Mary Routt DULANEY. His paternal grandparents were Lieutenant John BROWNING Sr. and Betty (Betty). He had two brothers and four sisters, named John S., Mark A. H., Ann Margaret, Mary Eleanor, Lucy Elizabeth and Sarah E. N.. He was the second youngest of the seven children. He had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named Gustavus Judson, Henrietta C., Fanny Lavinia, Emily Sophronia and Tabitha.-
