Mark A. H. was born in 1825. Mark A. H.'s father was John Dabney BROWNING Jr. and his mother was Mary Routt DULANEY. His paternal grandparents were Lieutenant John BROWNING Sr. and Betty (Betty). He had two brothers and four sisters, named John S., William Woodford, Ann Margaret, Mary Eleanor, Lucy Elizabeth and Sarah E. N.. He was the youngest of the seven children. He had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named Gustavus Judson, Henrietta C., Fanny Lavinia, Emily Sophronia and Tabitha.-
