Samuel Stack was born in December 1826 in Illinois. Samuel Stack's father was Gilbert BROWNING and his mother was Elizabeth STEELE. His paternal grandparents were Elijah G. BROWNING and Jane (Mrs. Elijah) BROWNING. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Elijah W., Oliver, Solomon Samuel, John, Mary, Rebecca Ann, Louisa Melissa and Cynthia L.. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 76 on November 9th, 1903 in Franklin Co., IL.. He was buried in Browning Cem., Franklin Twp., Section 21, Franklin Co., IL..General Notes
