Oscar's obituary was in "The Lamar County Echo" March 5, 1981. It reads as follows:
Oscar Anderson, 76, of 503 Graham St. died Feb. 25, 1981at his home. Funeral services were held Monday morning, March 2, in the chapel of Gene Roden's Sons with the Rev. Hubert Redus and the Rev. Richard Mayberry officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr.Anderson was born in Clardy on Feb. 1, 1905, son of Robert Anderson and Flora Dudley Anderson. He married Ophelia Andrews on May 31, 1934. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Graham Street BaptistChurch.
Survivors are his wife; two sons, Revis Hunter Anderson and Steve Oscar Anderson, both of Paris; a daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Betty) Ray of Reno; two brothers, Jess Anderson of Paris and Pick Anderson of Canton, and five grandchildren.
