Elbert Welty

Elbert was born on August 19th, 1844.¹   Elbert's father was John C Welty and his mother was Elizabeth Hauff. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Lafayette, John, Joseph S, Casper, Elizabeth, Margaret and Suzannah.  He was the fourth oldest of the eight children. He had five half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Alexander Houston, Ason, Martin DeShazo, George Washington, William Albert, Sarah Caroline (Sallie), Ida May Minerva and Mary Hester Belzora.¹
