Sarah Ida Malphrus 
Sarah Ida was born on September 25th, 1867 in Ridgeland, Jasper Co., SC.1 Sarah Ida's father was Seaborn Nathaniel Malphrus and her mother was Sarah Jane Mulligan. Her paternal grandparents were William Edward Malphrus and Kitsiah Woods; her maternal grandparents were Francis Mulligan and Eliza Lavonia Dean. She had nine brothers and a sister, named Henry Brooker, William Francis, George Washington, Joseph, Ashby Marcellus, Andrew O., Cary Woodville, Cornelius Edward, Albert Preacher and Anna Ada. She was the second oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 20 on October 28th, 1887.1 General Notes
