Ernst von Hessen-Rheinfels-Rothenburg

Ernst was born in 1623.  Ernst's father was Moritz von Hessen-Kassel and his mother was Juliane von Nassau-Siegen.  His paternal grandparents were Wilhelm lV von Hessen-Kassel and Sabine von Wuertemberg. He had six brothers and seven sisters, named Phillip, Hermann, Moritz, Friedrich, Christian, Philipp, Agnes, Juliane, Sabine, Magdalene, Sofie, Christine and Elisabeth.  He was the fourth youngest of the fourteen children. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Otto, Moritz, Wilhelm V Landgraf and Elisabeth.  He died at the age of 70 in 1693.
