Sofie von Hessen-Kassel

Sofie was born in 1615.  Sofie's father was Moritz von Hessen-Kassel and her mother was Juliane von Nassau-Siegen.  Her paternal grandparents were Wilhelm lV von Hessen-Kassel and Sabine von Wuertemberg. She had seven brothers and six sisters, named Phillip, Hermann, Moritz, Friedrich, Christian, Ernst, Philipp, Agnes, Juliane, Sabine, Magdalene, Christine and Elisabeth.  She was the seventh youngest of the fourteen children. She had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Otto, Moritz, Wilhelm V Landgraf and Elisabeth.  She died at the age of 55 in 1670.
