Montgomery Van Giesen 
Montgomery was born on September 11th, 1833 in Aurelius, Cayuga, NY.1 Montgomery's father was Luther Van Giesen and his mother was Melinda Slayton. His maternal grandparents were Phineas Slayton and Experience Gleeson. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Martin Luther, James, Catherine C. and Margaret. He was the third oldest of the five children.1 -
