Sophie 
Sophie's father was Francis Friedrich Duke von Sachsen-Coburg and her mother was Augusta Countess von Reuss-Ebersdorf. Her paternal grandparents were Ernest Friedrich Duke von Sachsen-Coburg and Sophia Antonia Prinsessin von Brunswick; her maternal grandparents were Henry XXIV Count von Reuss-Ebersdorf and Caroline Countess von Erbach-Schonberg. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Ernest I Duke, Ferdinand, Leopold I George, Victoria Mary, Antoinette and Julie.
