Ferdinand

Ferdinand was born in 1785.  Ferdinand's father was Francis Friedrich Duke von Sachsen-Coburg and his mother was Augusta Countess von Reuss-Ebersdorf.  His paternal grandparents were Ernest Friedrich Duke von Sachsen-Coburg and Sophia Antonia Prinsessin von Brunswick; his maternal grandparents were Henry XXIV Count von Reuss-Ebersdorf and Caroline Countess von Erbach-Schonberg. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Ernest I Duke, Leopold I George, Victoria Mary, Antoinette, Sophie and Julie.  He died at the age of 66 in 1851.
