Francis was born on April 5th, 1899 in Pekin, Tazwel Co., IL.1 Francis' father was Herman Martens and her mother was Ida G. Jackson. Her paternal grandparents were Harm M. Martens and Gertje Nanninga; her maternal grandparents were John Jackson and Amiela ?(Jackson John). She had two brothers and two sisters, named Harm H., William J., Grace and Jessie. She was the second oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 85 on January 19th, 1985 in East Peoria, Tazwell Co. IL.1 -
