Herman Martens 
Herman was born about 1877 in Pekin, Tazwell County, IL.1 Herman's father was Harm M. Martens and his mother was Gertje Nanninga. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Frank, Frederich Martin, Nellie and Minna. He was the youngest of the five children. He died on June 27th, 1912 in Pekin, Tazwell County, IL.1
