Elijah Satterwhite Fortson 
Elijah Satterwhite was born on August 8th, 1806.1 Elijah Satterwhite's father was William Fortson and his mother was Ann Higginbotham. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Fortson and Rachel Winn; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Higginbotham and Jane Satterwhite. He had five brothers and five sisters, and also two siblings of unknown gender, named Samuel H., William Thomas, Roderick R., Peter E., Aaron J., Jane, Rachel Wynn, Elizabeth, Frances, Ann, Jeptha V. and Elisha. He was the seventh oldest of the thirteen children.1 -
