John Isom Brown 
John Isom was born in 1870.1 John Isom's father was Russell D. Brown and his mother was Sarah Frances Elizabeth Bowers. His paternal grandparents were James Early Brown and Nancy E. McCurry; his maternal grandparents were Asa Bowers and Sarah Elizabeth Brown. He had five brothers and eight sisters, named Tekoha Jones, Asa Early, Elbert Jackson, Grover Cleveland, Willie Ruth, Nancy, Elizabeth, Flecher, Jessie, Phronie, Annie Snow, Flora and Maggie. He was the fourth oldest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 71 in 1941.1 -
