Sarah Elizabeth was born on January 8th, 1822 in Elbert County, Georgia, USA.1 Sarah Elizabeth's father was Dozier Thornton Brown and her mother was Mary Gaines "Polly" Herndon. Her paternal grandparents were Benjamin Brown and Joanna; her maternal grandparents were Edward J. Herndon and Nancy Ann Rucker. She had eight brothers and two sisters, named Edward Herndon, Elbert J., Benjamin, Washington, Asa, Eppie W., Vandiver, Francis, Lucy Ann and Rachel S.. She died at the age of 82 on December 23rd, 1904.1 -
