Isabel was born about 1406 in Auchterhouse, Angusshire, Scotland. Isabel's father was Walter Ogilvie and her mother was Isobel Glen. Her paternal grandparents were Walter Ogilvie and Isabel Ramsay; her maternal grandparents were John De la Glen and Margaret Erskine. She had two brothers and a sister, named John, Walter and Giles. re 1459. She married, secondly, Gilbert Kennedy of Dunure, 1st Lord Kenned
y, son of Sir James Kennedy of Dunure, younger and Lady Mary Stewart, aft
er 1460. She died in 1484.
From before 1459, her married name became Lyon. Through her marriage, Isab
el Ogilvy was styled as Lady Kennedy. From after 1460, her married name be
came Kennedy.
