Melissa E. was born on June 23rd, 1849. Melissa E.'s father was James McCreery and her mother was Sarah Williams. Her paternal grandparents were John Clark McCreery and Maragret Slutz; her maternal grandfather is Thomas Williams and her maternal grandmother was Druscilla Jennings. She had four brothers named William, John Wesley, Harvy and James Asbury. She was the third oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 77 on August 14th, 1926 in Gnadenhutten, Tuscarawas Co, OH.General Notes
