Mordecai Hayes 
Mordecai was born on May 29th, 1738 in Chester, PA. Mordecai's father was William Hayes and his mother was Jane Elizabeth James. His paternal grandparents were Henry Hayes and UNKNOWN Margaret; his maternal grandparents were George James and Ann Woodward. He had five brothers and three sisters, named John, David M., William, Thomas, Abraham, Sarah, Hannah and Rachel. He was the fourth youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 86 in 1824 in PA.General Notes
