John Hayes

John was born on August 2nd, 1726 in Marlborough, Chester County, PA. John's father was William Hayes and his mother was Jane Elizabeth James. His paternal grandparents were Henry Hayes and UNKNOWN Margaret; his maternal grandparents were George James and Ann Woodward. He had five brothers and three sisters, named David M., William, Mordecai, Thomas, Abraham, Sarah, Hannah and Rachel. He is the oldest of the nine children.
